Glad to hear that you were enjoying using the Assistant initially. You are correct that you will only receive a certain number of message responses each day, this is due to the costs involved with making these requests to OpenAI so unfortunately at the moment we can’t offer unlimited amounts for free.
Can you confirm if you are working via Anaconda Navigator or Anaconda Cloud Notebooks?
If you’re working in Navigator then you should upgrade the Anaconda Toolbox so that it is using version 4.0.15 as this version includes a number of improvements to the error messages so that they are more informative. Just click the Cog on the Toolbox tile, and Update application or install specific version.
same here havn’t been able to use the assistant for 3 weeks on 3 different laptops all up to dates on everything one i got brand new and had everything freshly installed this week and straight up can’t connect what wrong with the tool? tryed logging out and changing browsers google safari or opera no luck…
Hi, Could you try using the Assistant at nb.anaconda.cloud to see if it’s an issue with the number of daily requests that you have used up? There should be warnings saying that you have used the daily limit but for some users they don’t appear to be showing up. Any additional screenshots are always useful!
Thanks, and we appreciate your patience.
Jack
I am able to utilize the Assistant when logged into anaconda cloud. It does not work in my desktop environment. It is not an issue with the number of daily requests.
Windows 11
Jupyter Notebook: 7.0.8
Anaconda Assistant: 4.0.15
Assistant was working for me about 2 weeks ago then just quit. I have not been able to connect from the desktop environment since that point.
I also encountered the same error message “There was an issue connecting to the Assistant server. Please try again.” started from last week. It was no longer working in the subsequent days.
I also have the same issue, been happening for a week since Anaconda asked me to do an update - everything is updated to the latest versions on a windows 11
I keep getting either the above error saying There was an issue connecting to the assistant server or Rendered fewer hooks than expected. This may be caused by an accidental early return statement.
