Anaconda Installation and Running Issue (Stuck on “Loading Environment”)
Hello,
I’m encountering the following issues while installing and running Anaconda on my computer:
-
Installation Process:
- I download the installer and complete the setup steps. The installation finishes without any errors.
-
Launching the Application:
- When I try to launch Anaconda for the first time, I see the green loading screen, and then the application opens but immediately closes.
- After this, it gets stuck on the “Loading Environment” screen and doesn’t proceed.
-
Trying to Relaunch:
- When I attempt to open it again, I get an error message saying, “Already running.”
-
My Computer’s Username:
- My Windows username contains special characters (e.g., ç, ö, ş). I suspect this might be causing the issue, but I’m not sure.
Steps I’ve Tried:
- I attempted running
conda update
commands via the Anaconda Prompt, but since the application doesn’t open properly, I can’t access the Prompt. - I also tried restarting my computer and reinstalling Anaconda, but the issue persists.
Has anyone experienced this issue before and found a solution? Could the special characters in my username be the root cause of the problem? If so, how can I resolve this?
Note: I’m using Windows 11.
Thanks in advance for your help!
