The kernel dies in the notebook. Why?

I am running in the Anaconda Cloud. Paid subscription.

Hi vadulam, Looks like something we need to investigate.

Thanks for noticing my email.

Hi Vadulam – a follow-up question. Is there anything you were doing in the notebook that might have started a large number of threads or subprocesses – that is, more than 100 of either? From the logs it looks like you’re unable to start new kernels because you’ve hit a process limit.

Yes, you are right. A friend of mine figured it out and helped me. Anaconda should provide an error message for people like me. Thanks for responding. I am much obliged.

Thanks for confirming! That’s a great suggestion, I’ll put it on our list of things to look into adding.
