Jupyter v7 for Anaconda Mac

Hello fellow IT enthusiasts,

I recently acquired the latest version of Anaconda for Mac ARM (M1) and have been trying to upgrade my Jupyter Notebook to the recently released Version 7. However, it appears that I’m stuck at Version 6.5.4, and I’m unsure if this is due to my Mac’s installation or if Anaconda is yet to support Jupyter Notebook Version 7.

I’ve attempted to update using the command conda update --all, but this doesn’t seem to bring me the latest Jupyter Notebook version. As far as I know, Version 7 of Jupyter Notebook is no longer in beta and should be available for installation.

Could anyone shed some light on this matter? Have you faced a similar issue or found a workaround to upgrade to Jupyter Notebook Version 7 on Anaconda for Mac ARM (M1)? Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hey @GreGS!

Jupyter Notebooks has been updated to version 7 on Navigator now (and JupyterLab to v4), so if you update Navigator to the latest version you should have it available by default.
Let me know if you have any issues.

Thanks,
Jack

Hi Jack! when I try to upgrade Jupyter Notebooks from v.6.5.4 to v.7.0.8, Navigator says I need to create a new Environment (currently using base(root)). Is this normal?
