When setting up the Anaconda program, the installation on the installer is stuck on setting up the packace cache phase, with the following execute program running constantly:
Extract: anaconda-2022.05-py39_0.tar.bz2

Have you tried stopping the process and trying again? (sorry, if that’s an obvious thing to suggest)

Just disable your antivirus. it will complete the installation itself. i had same issue too but now resolved.

It is really frustrating. Now now that I really need it most. I spend several hours trying different ways to fix it but nothing was done.

This isnt what you’re looking for as a lasting solution but for me disabling acronis allowed the stuck installation to finish clearing the package cache.
