The interactive debugger is a useful feature of Jupyter Notebook v7, but does not work out of the box with the Anaconda installation. I found a comment on a post on Stack Overflow that gives a workaround (edit kernel.json to set debug to true) but it would be easier (especially when teaching) if this was the default setting. Could this be changed?
