Can't connect to kernel

After a prompt to update to the latest version on opening, JupyterLab now cannot connect to kernel.

Is anyone else having this problem?

It was working fine prior to the update. Is there a way to install the previous verison? Where would that be located?

It looks like I fixed it by going to the Anaconda archives and downloading and installing the most recent version. By the way I had to delete entirely my anaconda3 directory to get the install to work.
