Now the update gives an error

Thank you for sharing the error, @Ady281

Could you share what OS and version you are running on? Also, can you try exiting AI Navigator and restart, and see it helps?

Sorry for inconvenience!

win 11 pro 23h2. Restarting the Navigator didn’t helped.
What fixed the problem for me was uninstalling it from add/remove programs and installing it again to force the correct version.
Now it works ok

The Update works, thanks

I’ve re-installed three times and no luck. I am getting the following errors when I boot AI Navigator:

An error has occurred.
Cannot download “https://autoupdate.ai.anaconda.com/AI-Navigator-Setup-0.6.3.exe”, status 403:
Command failed with ENOENT: Start-Process miniconda3-win32-x64.exe -Wait -ArgumentList @(‘/S’, ‘/D=C:\Users[username].ai-navigator\conda’) spawnSync powershell.exe ENOENT

Trying to access the link directly gives the following error in my browser (Chrome):

Thank you, @Ady281 , for sharing the error and workaround.

Do you mind sharing your OS version and hardware specs so it might help users with a similar setup, and also help us can look deeper this update issue?

@franksoapdish , our apologies for the inconvenience.

As a workaround, can you try uninstalling the old version and download the latest version from Anaconda AI Navigator | Anaconda
BTW, could you also confirm you current version is 0.5.1?

Thank you!

Thanks, I have downloaded and reinstalled twice and it does not function. I am uncertain how to find the AI Navigator version as the help does not have an “about” section and the version is not displayed on the box in Anaconda Navigator.

When I load, it is looking for (and not finding) AI Navigator Setup 0.6.3

@franksoapdish , we just deployed a fix on our end to solve this issue.

Could you try and let us know if it solves this problem for you?

Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Thank you, the fix allowed me to get into AI Navigator, I was prompted that a new version would be installed on reboot, and so I closed AI Navigator. When I restarted, Anaconda downloaded a new version. I was able to load a model in a new chat, but began getting error messages that may have been connected with Windows Defender/my Avira firewall. Finally, I noted the model was loaded, I asked a simple question, and I received the

“Error invoking remote method ‘chat-manager’: Error: An object could not be cloned.”

error. The AI Navigator is now hung trying to process this question but not otherwise responding.
