I just installed Anaconda Pro on a new laptop.
What packages should I expect to appear normally in the base environment?
The reason I ask is that, after I created a virtual environment and installed a number of packages in it, I noticed that apparently those packages all appear when I do a “conda list” from within the base environment.
Based on my past experience working with conda on other PCs, this doesn’t make sense to me so I’m trying to understand it better.
I would have thought only a relatively small number of packages would be in the base environment, and that creating a separate environment and installing packages there would not affect the packages that are in base.
