Install Anaconda on Linux in non-default location

I am attempting to install the latest version of Anaconda on Ubuntu Linux 24.04. On my first attempt, I misunderstood how to specify the location where Anaconda should be installed, and I specified “/usr/local/bin” instead of “/usr/local.” I reinstalled Anaconda in the correct location after removing the contents of “/usr/local/bin/bin”. The installation worked correctly but when I tried to activate Anaconda I got a shell error message stating “Unable to find /usr/local/bin/bin”. I have been unable to find out how to correct the situation.
