Anaconda-Navigator on Mac OSX Ventura, is there a problem?

Running Anaconda-Navigator on a Mac Pro (2019) under Mac OS X ver. 13.0 (Ventura). I’m running the Anaconda Distribution of Python ver. 3.9.15.

I’m getting the following message in starting up Anaconda-Navigator (see attached screen snap).

Is there a compatibility issue between Mac OSX Ventura and Anaconda-Navigator? Similarly, what about Spyder?

Are there additional modules I need to install, or as a last-ditch effort, should I do a clean install of the latest Anaconda Distribution?

Please advise.

Sam Dupree.

Out of desperation, I did a clean install of my Anaconda distribution. This error has gone away. Please close this topic.

Same issue here with Ventura 13.2.1 M2 macbookpro, it always says installation has failed

Hello everyone!

I would be happy to help with this issue!

Have you tried downloading the 64-bit (M1) installer? If not, try downloading via the following links:
Graphical Installer
Command Line Installer

If you run into an issue stating that the insulation failed try using the “Simple Remove” steps listed here.

Please let us know if you have any additional issues downloading and we will be happy to help!

I couldn’t get the graphical or command line installer on your general downloads to work on my M2 with Ventura 13.0. The installer linked above worked though.

Hello,

We will gladly help you. Anaconda is compatible with the M2 chip so that wouldn’t be a problem. Please try to uninstall Anaconda and install it again.

You can download your compatible version here: https://repo.anaconda.com/archive/Anaconda3-2023.03-MacOSX-arm64.pkg
There is the x86 installer as well: https://repo.anaconda.com/archive/Anaconda3-2023.03-MacOSX-x86_64.pkg

It’s also advisable to completely uninstall Anaconda before proceeding with the installation to make sure to get rid of any errors, you can do that if you follow these instructions:

### macOS or Linux- Open your terminal application.

  • Remove your entire Anaconda directory with rm -rf. Depending on your installation, your anaconda2 or anaconda3 directory will be in your root folder or in your opt folder.
The following are a few examples of how you may need to delete your Anaconda folder

rm -rf anaconda3

rm -rf ~/anaconda3

rm -rf ~/opt/anaconda3

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!
