Well, I retry to acces and now it works! Thank you very much for your help!!

Hi again.
I wonder if we could put my data and code to a reinitialized server.
Maybe that is a way to solve this situation.
Thanks a lot!

Ok. Give if a go now.

It works now!
Thank you very much!

Thanks for everyone for confirming!

@YUQIAN_LI I think the issue in your case was a problem on the server where your JupyterLab runs – not something you did.

I am having a similar issue as many in the thread here,

“Your server is starting up.
You will be redirected automatically when it’s ready for you.
100% Complete
Spawn failed: Server at http://127.0.0.1:46907/jupyterhub/user/a9971ca9-93eb-46ce-b88e-9011c93b5f7f/ didn’t respond in 120 seconds

I would also like to mention that after I close the tab and try to re-enter, it gives me a 500 error and tells me it is an “invalid_client”

I was wondering if anyone was able to help, and maybe explain what I can do to avoid this issue in the future.
-Thank you

Could you try again now? I can see that there were some issues with your setup earlier, but it looks like they have now been resolved.

I am having the same issues, my server is failed to spawn, and I am getting an error when it times out. would love some help in fixing this!

What is the URL in your browser when you get the error?

Hello! Same problem here:

I tried in different browsers (including incognito), without success. I’d appreciate any help!

Ok. Give it a go now.

Thank you so much! It works now!

Hi everyone, thank you to everyone who has posted here with spawning issues, we have been investigating them and implemented a fix which we are hoping will resolve most issues related to accidental pip installing of incompatible versions of jupyter core packages.

If you are still running into Spawn issues, please post again here with details of the last steps you took before hitting the issue.

Thanks,
Jack

HI! I am running into this issue from the past 18 hours and have the exact same issue, I had kernel failed to load prior to this but I was still able to access my notebook and hence my code for my assignment. But I’ve been racking my head for the past 18 hours and now I have the issue where the server spawn has failed! Please help ASAP my assignment is due midnight today and I can not access my code/notebook to submit! Everything was running A-ok until 18 hours ago. Please help! @Glenn_Jones , @gpjt and please do tell me how to fix this if it happens again! I bought the subscription for more compute seconds as well yesterday and I’m very anxious about not getting it working again!

It looks like you’re in the tarpit (that is, that you have used your daily CPU time), so processes take longer to start up and so your server startup is timing out. Your daily CPU usage will reset in about an hour and then you’ll be able to start your server again

Hi @Glen_Jones, Thank you so so much for reaching out! I do realize I ended up using all my daily CPU time, but I went ahead and bought a subscription to get 4000, and last I was able to open it I was roughly sitting at ~1600/4000!. Interestingly I also noticed my cpu usage time was going up sporadically even when not running the code yesterday. Do you think that since I bought the subscription yesterday, my cpu use meter reflected 4000 units but it the speeds will actually reflect with the reset in an hour?
Thank you so much once again, I highly appreciate it!!!

So it’s been an hour and I’m still getting this error “Failed to check authorization: invalid_client” (Error 500).
Again, really appreciate anything you can do, the only reason I’m commenting again and again is due to my assignment submission now due in roughly 12 hours!

@Glenn_Jones Hi, please I am experiencing the spawn failed error on anaconda navigator launch, could you please assist with this. Thanks

@Aditya_Surya that sounds like a different issue; could you see if things work if you start go to the notebook service in an incognito browser tab?

@obasuyi.edward could you post the URL of the page where you’re seeing that issue?
