How to request package upgrade for Anaconda

Hello all!

I was wondering what the best way to request a package in the Anaconda/defaults channel be updated to the most recent/current version.

Specifically I am inquiring about Astropy which is an immensely popular and powerful software package for astrophysical research and related applications.

Currently the version available through anaconda is version 5.1, while the current stable version of astropy is v5.3. I was wondering if there is a way to ask the maintainers of the astroconda channel to build the newest (and potentially intervening) versions of the software.

The stable version of Astropy is version 5.1, which is available on anaconda/defaults. The 5.3 version is the ‘bleeding edge’ version available on conda-forge channel and is not stable, e.g hasn’t gone through the anaconda verification procedures yet.
