I am trying to use the Anaconda Code Dashboard. Using the expand button won´t let me edit the cell contents. It looks like this:
What am I doing wrong?
Hi and thanks for trying out Anaconda Code. Please press the button that looks like a square to edit the cell. We are looking into changing the icon for that, so your feedback is useful.
Thanks
Thanks for your quick answer. Pressing that button is what I have ben doing but I am still unable to edit the cell. I just see the REF(“A1:B6”) but I can not modify anything. Y have tried with another workbook and the issue persists. Maybe it is an issue with my account? or the installation?
As You can see in the screenshot, after pressing the button that looks like a square to edit the cell it shows the edit area as dimmed. So, I am unable to write my code.
Are you signed in to Anaconda Cloud? Being signed in is required to edit Anaconda Code cells.
Click on the “Anaconda Code” label above “Code / Logs”. That will show the start screen where you Sign In and also Enable the PyScript Runtime environment.
Also is there also a way to expand this code editor? Currently its very hard to code in such a small window.
Here are some ways to get more space for editing
- Make Excel as tall as possible. If you aren’t running it full-screen, make it full screen.
- Hide the Excel ribbon. If you’re on the Formulas tab, double-click the word “Formulas” and the ribbon will collapse, freeing up more vertical space for Anaconda Code.
- Make the Anaconda Code side panel wider. The vertical bar separating the add-in from the Excel grid can be moved. By making the window wider, the “Output” choices will move onto a single line and free up vertical space.
- Change the zoom level. Anaconda Code is actually a webpage, so the normal zoom functionality is available. Assuming you are running on Windows, try holding Ctrl, then rolling your mouse wheel. It should zoom the page, making everything smaller and therefore showing you more text in the same space
