I’m running into some trouble with loading packages in my environments on a windows computer. My colleague downloaded SimBA and Deeplabcut (DLC) using anaconda navigator using his personal user account. For some reason, SimBA and DLC don’t appear in my anaconda environments when logged in with my personal account. Only when I open anaconda as an administrator do SimBA and DLC appear in environments and are able to be loaded and used. What can I do so that everyone who uses the computer is able to use SimBA and DLC (without administrative access)? Will everyone have to download the packages on their own user accounts?
Unfortunately, I suspect that you need to reinstall Anaconda for Windows and choose ‘Just Me’ as the installation type. If you do the default(‘All Users’) some files get installed to locations that may not be accessible for all users.
