Anaconda Distribution Supporting M1

The web site:

announces:
“Please note that macOS M1 does not support Qt yet – Anaconda Navigator and Spyder will not be available.”

Any idea if we’re talking weeks, months or years?

Never mind. It appears that web site lies. Navigator, Spyder and others are installed and appear to function normally.

Boy is my face red. It appears I spoke too soon. When I first installed the M1 version, I was able to bring up Spyder, JupyterLab, Notebook and the like. Now, after updating a host of packages in my environment, none of these work.
I get this error:
“mach-o file, but is an incompatible architecture (have ‘x86_64’, need ‘arm64’)”

So back to my original question: When will these be available for the M1 version?

Hello,

We will gladly help you. Anaconda is compatible with the M1 chip so that wouldn’t be a problem. Please try to download and install Anaconda with this link instead:

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!
